The canopies behind Creek Mercantile came down on Oct. 25. That Sunday was the last day of the Rancocas Woods Farmers Market, which had run every Sunday since June 7 at 118 Creek Road, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The market's closing is a normal seasonal step. It also starts a run of endings at the same address. Four Green Cats Café, the Czech and European café at 118 Creek Road, is spending its last weeks there. The outdoor craft and antique season ends on a Saturday in late November. And for the past two Decembers, Mount Laurel's tree lighting has been held in this same block.
So November is the last month of 2026 when the café, the permanent shops and the outdoor craft vendors are all open at Rancocas Woods. Here are the dates.
The 118 Creek Road calendar, from the farmers market's last day to New Year's
| Date | What happens | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Sun., Oct. 25 | Last farmers market of the 2026 season | Behind Creek Mercantile, 118 Creek Road |
| Fri., Oct. 30 | Scheduled grand opening of Grand Salon, Four Green Cats' new home | 18 Tanner Street, Haddonfield |
| Sun., Nov. 8 | Lew Leabman Band concert, 2 to 3 p.m. | Mount Laurel Library, Meeting Rooms 1 and 2 |
| Throughout November | Four Green Cats' Mount Laurel hours may be limited during the move | 118 Creek Road |
| Sat., Nov. 28 | Last Craft & Antique Show of the year, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. | Rancocas Woods, 118 Creek Road |
| Through Dec. 31 | Four Green Cats' Mount Laurel café stays open through year-end | 118 Creek Road |
The library concert is the only item on that list away from Creek Road. It's on Mount Laurel Library's calendar for a Sunday afternoon in its combined meeting rooms, and it fits easily into an early November weekend. Everything else on the calendar happens at one address, and most of it ends within the same few weeks.
Why Four Green Cats is leaving Creek Road
The café's move is the biggest change on that list, and it wasn't the café's choice. Patch reported on Sept. 4 that the property owners had decided not to renew Four Green Cats' lease at 118 Creek Road. The café had been there six years. The owners cited "other plans" and did not say what those plans are. The café's staff put it plainly in the same Patch story: "Please know that leaving was not our choice."
The owners haven't announced what will replace the café. So the next tenant at that corner of Rancocas Woods is still unknown, and there's no timeline for one.
What is known is where the café is going. Its new home is called Grand Salon, at 18 Tanner Street in Haddonfield. According to Patch, management had been working on a second location for about two years. The new space has a larger layout, a fully equipped commercial kitchen, more seating, and a design modeled on the traditional coffee houses of Vienna and Prague.
The café's own announcement, reposted by South Jersey Food Scene, adds more detail. The menu will grow, with more freshly baked European pastries and more Czech and European lunches. The space will host concerts and special events as a Czech cultural and community home. And it will have an outdoor patio the café describes as "approximately the size of our entire current café." The café puts Haddonfield about a 20-minute drive from Creek Road.
That patio comparison explains a lot about the move. On Creek Road, Four Green Cats worked out of a small café in a village of small shops. In Haddonfield it gets a commercial kitchen and an event space. The two-year planning timeline means the expansion was underway before the lease decision, and the lease decision set the date for leaving Mount Laurel.
November hours will be the hardest part to plan around
The café has said it will stay open in Mount Laurel through the end of the year. It also warned that "during November, our hours may be limited while we complete the move." It asked customers to check its social media for daily updates.
That matters if you're heading out for a pastry run. The café's website and the Rancocas Woods shop directory still list Four Green Cats at 118 Creek Road with regular daily hours. Those listings show how the café normally runs, not how it will run this month. The café's daily social media posts are the place to check before you drive over.
Grand Salon's Oct. 30 grand opening was the date the café announced. By the time this post is up, Haddonfield should have had about a week with the new location, assuming the date held. The café's social channels are the best place to check the latest hours for both spots.
Nov. 28 is the last outdoor market of 2026
Rancocas Woods runs its Craft & Antique Shows on a fixed seasonal schedule. Spring shows were Saturdays in March, April and May. Summer shows were Sunday combos with the farmers market in June, July and August. Fall shows are Saturdays on Sept. 26, Oct. 24 and Nov. 28, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine unless flooding or dangerous weather shuts them down.
Nov. 28 is the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and the event listing on Fairs and Festivals bills it as a Small Business Saturday craft and antique show. The Rancocas Woods events page says its outdoor craft and antique markets run from March through November. Its 2026 schedule lists no December market.
That makes the Saturday after Thanksgiving the last time this year that the outdoor vendors, the permanent shops and Four Green Cats are all open on Creek Road on the same day. By next spring's first craft show, the café will be gone.
The shops staying on Creek Road
Rancocas Woods is more than one café. The shop directory lists more than a dozen businesses along Creek Road, and none of them has announced a move. If you're there on Nov. 28 or any weekend before the holidays, these are the stops:
- Second Time Books, 114 Creek Road
- B.J.'s Country Store & Deli, 115 Creek Road
- Ma & Pa's Tex-Mex BBQ, 116 Creek Road
- Rancocas Antiquities and Rancocas Jewelry Exchange, 116 Creek Road, lower level
- Dash Consignment, 116A Creek Road
- Stavra Fine Art Portraits, 116C Creek Road
- Creek Mercantile, 118 Creek Road, listed as open daily
- The Hot Dog Shack, 120 Creek Road
- The Bountiful Collective, 200A Creek Road
- The Woods Ice Cream Shop, 200B Creek Road
- Thyme Travelers Conservatory, 200C Creek Road
- Hidden Potential, 206 Creek Road, lower level
- Craft Co-Op, 208 Creek Road
The list has gift shopping, from Second Time Books, Creek Mercantile, the Craft Co-Op and the consignment and antique shops. It also has places to eat, from B.J.'s, Ma & Pa's and The Hot Dog Shack. Once Four Green Cats leaves, Creek Road still has food, but no other spot on the directory serves Czech pastries and European-style coffee.
The tree lighting is where the change will show most
Mount Laurel Township has held its holiday tree lighting at Rancocas Woods for the past two years. In 2024 it was on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. at 118 Creek Road. In 2025 it moved to Thursday, Dec. 4. The Mount Laurel Fire Department brought Santa on the fire truck at 6 p.m. to light the tree, and the evening included photos with Santa and the Grinch, a bounce house, a candy table and shopping along Creek Road. The township's alert for that night put it at 118 Creek Road from 5 to 8 p.m., co-hosted with Rancocas Woods Events and Shops.
The township's holiday celebration page describes a Christmas tree lighting and Hanukkah menorah lighting with Rabbi Amy Memis-Foler of Adath Emanu-El. It lists Four Green Cats Café as the source of the hot chocolate, with Bundtinis from Nothing Bundt Cakes and a 6 p.m. lighting outside Creek Mercantile.
The township hasn't posted a date for the 2026 lighting yet, and the date moved between 2024 and 2025. The township's website is where the official announcement will go. If the lighting returns to Creek Road in early December as it did the past two years, Four Green Cats will still be within its year-end window at 118 Creek Road, though with whatever hours the move allows. It would likely be the last tree lighting with the café next door.
For something indoors later in the season, Mount Laurel Library has a holiday flute-choir concert by Evesham Flute Studio on Sunday, Dec. 13, from 2 to 3 p.m.
